Lionel Messi has endured a horrible season in his debut French Ligue 1 season scoring only 4 goals and managing 13 assists.
However stats website whoscored.com may disagree as they have named Messi as the third best performing player surprisingly ahead of Benzema and Salah.
Benzema has scored 25 goals with 11 assists in the league this season and Salah has 22 goals with 12 assists, both of whom have been tipped off as Balon D’or contenders and have spearheaded their clubs to the Champions League semi-finals.
Messi is only edged by Lewandowski and fellow Parisian teammate, Kylian Mbappe in the rankings.
