The CEO of Better.com was the talk of the streets on Wednesday after sacking over 900 of his company workers in a zoom meeting.
The head of the digital mortgage group, Vishal Garg, hopped on a Zoom call last Wednesday to boldly and coldly inform more than 900 of his workers that their jobs have been terminated
In a 3 minutes video call the man said;
“This is the second time in my career I’m doing this, and I do not want to do this. The last time I did it I cried, I hope to be stronger”
He rather seemed unemotional as he continued;
“If you’re on this call, you are part of the unlucky group that is being laid off,”
Garg has said each of the unfortunate employees would receive about a month’s severance pay and three months benefits.
Nobody wants to hear such news three weeks to Christmas in what may come off as a shock to the employees who found themselves on the zoom call with the CEO.
People who came across the information were surprised as well as it is all over the news globally and has caused several discussions on social media.
